The following notice has been issued by the manufacturer: Notice to Orange RX9 Customers This is important information for all Orange Bikes customer who have purchased an Orange RX9. A number of Orange RX9 bikes were made with forks which have a potential risk of breaking. Under certain circumstances the fork steerer tube can become disconnected from the rest of the fork. While we have had no critical failures, we have had two instances of the steerer becoming detached from the rest of the fork. This occurred after the owners reported the forks making a creaking sound and where the forks were removed for inspection. The safety of our customers is very important to us. Therefore if you are the owner of an Orange RX9 please do not ride your RX9 bicycle until the fork has been checked and you are certain it is safe to use. Consumer group Which? has issued an alert to warn parents about the danger of the BabyStart Multi Recline Car Seat after it scored zero in safety tests. The BabyStart range is sold exclusively at Argos is not being recalled but is no longer being produced. Argos have removed the seat from their new ranges however some stock remains available in stores. The seat scored the lowest ever test score of zero per cent in independent crash tests which are conducted at higher speeds and forces than the current UK standards require. Which? branded the seat a ‘don’t buy’ because the shoulder parts of the harness were ripped out of the plastic seat shell as it broke under the force of the crash tests.
